essay about creative writing

Creative Writing Lifts Me
Learning takes place in everything. I made multiple drafts, but I ended up with a good piece. I turned several pages, but I found the best write ups. As I received the piece of bond paper in the first class in the subject “Creative Writing” the first that I’ve read was “Meaning and Importance of Creative Writing.” I thought this subject is very important in my life as a student and as an individual. Yes, I’m right of thinking those.
Taking this subject made my perspective in life changed. Creative writing is important to me for many reasons. It helped me to become a better writer and it made me realized that practice makes perfect in writing just as in any other skill. It cultivated my imagination and broaden my thought process. It taught me to put myself into other’s shoes.  How they feel? How do they behave? Those taught me about how to be empathetic towards others in the real world. It gave me a great opportunity to express my thoughts, emotions and ideas in a safe manner. I’ve learned that creative writing can give out information in more interesting ways and can help learning information more fun.
As a creative writer I have to have these scribbling characteristics; research abilities, imagination, confidence, ability to focus, using different approaches, having discipline and having voice and authenticity. Having these characteristics will make me a fruitful, productive and successful writer. I started to write with a controlled composition. It made me to have a discipline at myself and to have focus in what I am writing. It developed my skills in listening, thinking, developing paragraph, analyzing and grammar. It enhanced my skills in organizing ideas and thoughts. I also learned the processes of writing which help me on how to make a best write ups.
As I received my paper I found that there were red inks. I discouraged? Surrendered? Gave up? No! I did not. Those red inks in my paper served as my strength and my motivator to strive more and work more. Those served as my lamp to walk forward and not to retreat. I learned lot of things in this subject not just because I have to, but because an outstanding and functioning teacher. Thanks to thee.
